Darjeeling – Sikkim
Translated by google!!!
In dense fog we meander up to Darjeeling, the Teestadt in northern India. After the heat in Calcutta we wanted to cool a bit. On the first night it was so cold that we woke up with a red nose. Heating? Far from it. The next day we moved on to 120 km away Pelling, the trip took five hours thanks to the excellent roads, switchbacks with knee-deep potholes. The small mountain village is not known for its wide range of leisure activities, but rather for trekking (to us unfortunately lacked the equipment) and the excellent views of the Kanchenjunga. The third highest mountain in the world, the real reason for this trip, had to wait three days to themselves, clouds above clouds. Until then, we passed the time in front of the fireplace, in the evening we were hot water bottles to bed.
